What education, training, credentials and life experience do you have that help you in your work with preschoolers?
I received an undergraduate degree from San Francisco State University in Art History and a graduate degree from the Corcoran College of Art and Design in Museum Exhibition Design; for my thesis I designed a Children’s Museum that fused Art and Science. I have been a stay-at-home mom to my two boys for the past 5 years.
What year did you join the Preschool staff?
What class are you teaching this year?
What do you consider to be your hometown?
What are your most important teaching goals for the children in your class?
To help facilitate an environment where our students will learn through play and hands-on activities. To help provide creative outlets and guidance for our students while they are learning both social skills and independence. And to help prepare them for Kindergarten and provide a place where they feel happy and safe.
What do you like most about your job?
I love working with children and seeing their curiosity and wonder; children are hilarious, honest, and still believe in magic! It is an incredibly rewarding job to work with children and I love being a part of how they learn and achieve.
