What education, training, credentials and life experience do you have that help you in your work with preschoolers?
After graduating from UNC Chapel Hill I started my career as an RN in the NICU at Forsyth Medical Center. Several years later I also became a Certified Childbirth Educator. After my kids were born (now ages 6 and 4) I decided to stay home with them but continued to teach occasional birth/ childcare classes, because I enjoyed working with new moms and families. St. Paul’s Preschool has held an enormous place in my heart since the moment my daughter and I walked in the door. I am thrilled to join the teaching staff at SPP!
What year did you join the Preschool staff?
What class are you teaching this year?
What do you consider to be your hometown?
What are your most important teaching goals for the children in your class?
We will make new friends, learn, and explore all sorts of fun new adventures through a comfortable routine and loads of play! My main goal is for my students to be incredibly excited to walk in our door every day.
What do you like most about your job?
I cannot wait to see the kids get excited about new things, grow, and change throughout the year. I love the creativity required for this role and look forward to learning so much from one of the best lead preschool teachers in the business!
